Award Holders Area

Congratulations on being approved for a Lord Rootes Fund Award!

This area is designed to bring together the relevant resources and information for award holders.

From this point the process is as follows:

  1. The applicant (or lead applicant for groups) must complete the conditions agreement form. This confirms your agreement to the conditions set out in the Lord Rootes Fund Regulations and also asks for your permission to use certain aspects of your project/report to promote the Fund in future.
  2. The payment of the first 80% of your award will be processed by Student Finance at the University of Warwick.
  3. Once you have received the funds, please confirm this using the funding confirmation form.
  4. The remaining 20% of your award will be retained, pending submission to the Fund Secretary of two copies of your project report (one copy of which will eventually be archived in the Modern Records Centre). Before you start your project, please read the report writing guidelines available at www.warwick.ac.uk/go/lordrootes/report.

Please note: the retained 20% of your award will only be paid if the Committee judges your report to be satisfactory. Please take this into account when managing the finances of your project. A cash prize is sometimes awarded for a report that is deemed to be of outstanding quality, but a prize is not necessarily awarded every year.

If you have any questions at this stage, or should any of the circumstances surrounding your project change at any time, please contact the Fund Secretary.
