Student as Producer Performance of Celebration

Celebration is a show about letting go and making joy, about optimistic attachments and trying to live differently. It aims to give anyone who can't quite believe the world they live in something to believe in.

Student as Producer Performance of The Bed of Passage

26 & 27 November 2016, 19:30 | Humanities Studio, University of Warwick

The Bed of Passage is an original play written and directed by Christophe Locatelli and has been funded by an IATL Student as Producer (Performance) grant. It depicts an intimate conversation between a couple in bed that turns into a journey of personal and emotional discovery. Intense and powerful, interspersed with moments of bittersweet humour, this is a production not to be missed.

Re-shaping the Learning Environment: IATL Funding for Staff

From small-scale Pedagogic Interventions to large-scale Strategic Projects, IATL has funded and supported a wide range of innovative and creative teaching and learning projects. IATL people update

IATL’s Director, Dr Nicholas Monk, has been appointed on a 0.2 basis to the role of Education Lead, Warwick in California. IATL’s Principal Teaching Fellow, Dr Jonathan Heron, has been appointed Deputy Director of IATL with immediate effect. And a number of former staff members and alumni have been appointed as Senior Associate Fellows and Associate Fellows respectively.

IATL Director’s attendance of teaching and learning events in the United States

IATL's Director, Nicholas Monk, attended the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSOTL) Conference in Los Angeles in October, and the Engaged Scholarship Consortium in Omaha, Nebraska, also in October. Both events were an opportunity to share ideas and promote the work of IATL internationally.

Character & Ethics in Legal Practice Workshop

This workshop (supported by IATL funding) paves the way to an accredited online course of the same name, designed by leading experts for students contemplating legal careers. New issue of Reinvention: an International Journal of Undergraduate Research

Volume 9, Issue 2 of Reinvention was launched on Friday 28 October 2016 and features peer-reviewed undergraduate research from students at the University of Warwick, University of Sheffield, Durham University, Monash University Malaysia and the University of Cambridge.

Warwick BLASTER team facilitate five-day 'Best Practice in Undergraduate Research' training event

Members of the BLASTER (Best Liberal Arts and Science Teaching Expanded and Reinforced) team from Warwick facilitated a five-day event in October at Leuphana University, Germany, where staff and student experts from European partner institutions showcased best practice in undergraduate research, and formed small research teams to continue the exploration of innovations in this area.
