The Dark Would event
Wednesday 13 & Thursday 14 May 2015
IATL invites you to an event exploring innovation in pedagogy, learning, and teaching in Higher Education. This event will provide a space for staff and students of all disciplines to explore who they are as educators and learners, ask what they need to develop their pedagogical skills, ideas, and philosophies, meet those who think similarly, be challenged by those who don’t, collaborate with both, and experiment to the fullest extent possible.

2014 saw a number of significant staff changes at IATL, with additions to and departures from the team.
URSS Celebration Research Showcase
Wednesday 12th of November 2014 | Panorama Rooms, Rootes Social Building
This event will feature participants in the Undergraduate Research Support Scheme (URSS), who will present their research in poster format and be available to discuss their findings.
New issues of Reinvention: an International Journal of Undergraduate Research
Volume 7 Issue 2 (published 30/10/2014) and the British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR) 2014 Special Issue (published 5/11/2014) are both available, free and in full, online now.

'Educational Utopias and Dystopias: Reinventing Education in an Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Module', written by Will Curtis (pictured) about his IATL interdisciplinary module Reinventing Education, has been published in Other Education: the Journal of Educational Alternatives.
Emerge Festival

Students Beyond Grades website launched
The website was created by the Exceptional Undergraduate Initiative (EUI) Project, which is entirely student led and voluntary, "...to document the unique and tangible activity of the UK undergraduate community, within disciplines but outside of grades."

We are looking to recruit a number of Classroom Stewards to support the use of teaching spaces on campus, these being the CAPITAL Rehearsal Room in Millburn House, the Reinvention Centre and the Avon Drama Studio at Westwood, as well as the Humanities Studio and the eight newly refurbished teaching rooms in the Ramphal Building.
