Student Voice Class of 2024-25 - We thank you!
Student Voice
In addition to the mid-term and end of term feedback that all students are invited to share, we held two Student Voice Focus Groups.
Thank you so much to those who volunteered. We are busy turning some of this year's feedback into an action plan and will keep you updated. Here are some of the things that happened this year in response to last year's feedback:

A place to network
- The IATL Student Cafe: a place where IATL students could meet to chat or collaborate.
Fun Fact: over 100 packets of biscuits and 40 bags of fruit were given away.

More Skills Sessions
- Additional interdisciplinary skills sessions were provided.
Ten workshops were offered, open to all IATL students.

A say in IATL Provision
- Student volunteers joined a panel to review potential new modules for 2025-26.
- Volunteers also joined a focus group to help us review the accessibility of our provision.
Why be a Student Voice rep?
Ellinor:
"Being a student representative was such a beneficial opportunity as it gave me the chance, alongside completing a fascinating module, to meet and work with the department to feedback how it is run and how it can be improved. I met reps from other modules, all from a range of disciplines, and gave me a boost in my confidence and understanding about the interdisciplinary nature of IATL."
Kleopatra:
Being a Student Voice Representative for IATL enabled me to understand how students from drastically different disciplines may approach the delivery and assessment of the Global Connections module, giving me valuable insights into how uniquely individuals experience similar circumstances, which has benefitted me in my interpersonal relationships. Simultaneously, this experience challenged me to voice the comments of students on the module in an interdisciplinary way to enable everyone to thrive rather than just thinking about the way I was used to approaching the module content, which helped me on a personal level too, in incorporating new strategies for effective studying that my peers used.
