ICUR Student Director 2025

About

My name is David Nguyen Duc, and I am a third-year biochemistry student at the University of Warwick. This academic year, I have joined the ICUR team as a Student Director to help ensure that ICUR 2025 runs smoothly.

I have always been passionate about research and bringing positive change to lives across the world, particularly through biochemical research. This past summer, I spent three months conducting research in several laboratories, investigating the issue of antimicrobial resistance. During this experience, I gained insight into the valuable contributions undergraduates can make to research, inspiring me to support my peers who share an interest in this field.

With this goal in mind, I joined the ICUR 2025 team to create a platform where undergraduates can share their research, especially work that might not otherwise gain recognition. As a Student Director, I aim to empower students to confidently present their research to an interdisciplinary audience.

This year, I hope to foster stronger interactions between the University of Warwick and our partner institutions, encouraging collaboration and exchange of ideas on a global scale.
