Fiona O'Brien - Student Research Support Officer (Journals)
Having previously worked in IATL to support undergraduate research projects between 2017 and 2020, Fiona returned to IATL in 2024 as the Student Research Project Support Officer (Journals), to manage the content development, publication and engagement for Reinvention: an International Journal of Undergraduate ResearchLink opens in a new window with an editorial board of students. Published by IATL at the University of Warwick, Reinvention is an online open-access, blind peer-reviewed journal, dedicated to the publication of high-quality undergraduate student research from any discipline and any higher education institute around the world.
Fiona also manages, supports and delivers other student research projects supported by IATL including ICUR: the International Conference of Undergraduate Research,Link opens in a new window BCUR: the British Conference of Undergraduate Research and Posters in Parliament.
Fiona has extensive experience in academic publishing, conference management, student engagement, and communications, along with programme and project management gained with the University of Warwick, Cochrane, SAI Global, Calor, FireAngel Safety Technology, Informa, Harcourt (now Reed Elsevier) and Book Data.
