BCUR 2024
BCUR 2024 was held 25th - 26th April 2024 at The London School Of Economics And Political Science (LSE). We were delighted that approximately 60 students from the University of Warwick presented in spoken, poster or performance sessions during the two-day conference.
BCUR 2023 Hosted by the University of Warwick
The University of Warwick was honoured to be the first UK institution to host the annual British Conference of Undergraduate Research for a second occasion!
Moreover, we jointly hosted both the British Conference of Undergraduate Research with the World Congress on Undergraduate Research in April 2023. We were excited to provide this opportunity to share and network between communities, and that students from the UK and around the world were able to showcase their research at a single event, in person on campus at the University of Warwick.
Further details can be found here for WorldCUR-BCUR 2023.

About BCUR
The British Conference of Undergraduate Research promotes undergraduate research in all disciplines. The Conference meets annually every spring in a different British university. Undergraduates of all levels are invited to submit papers, posters, workshops and performances to the conference. Abstracts are peer-reviewed and those accepted will be invited to attend the conference. Conference fees are usually paid by the student’s own university. BCUR also accepts submissions from students outside of the UK. The call for papers is usually published in the autumn.
BCUR was founded in 2010 and held its first conference in 2011 at the University of Central Lancashire. The event doubled in size for the second conference, held in 2012 here at Warwick. The 2013 Plymouth conference was bigger still, and the conference has continued to attract an increasing number of attendees and presenters year on year.
In 2023, the University of Warwick became the first institution to host BCUR for a second time! when we jointly hosted WorldCUR-BCUR 2023.
BCUR is the largest conference in the UK dedicated exclusively to undergraduate research. Previous conferences have seen over 500 delegates from 70 different institutions over the two days presenting their research work on a diverse range of topics.
Posters in ParliamentLink opens in a new window
Posters in Parliament is the annual sister event of BCUR and brings together a remarkable collection of the best undergraduate research from across the country. Attended by MP's, civil servants and policy makers, as well as academics and fellow BCUR students, the event is an amazing opportunity for our student researchers to discuss their work with such influential people.
Poster in Parliament provides an opportunity for over 50 selected undergraduate students, representing universities from across the UK, to exhibit their research posters in Westminster to those in power. This gives an opportunity for legislators and policymakers to see first-hand some of the innovative research taking place around the country, and how how the new generation of emerging researchers is tackling some of the important current challenges of the world.
The University of Warwick was the host institute of Posters in Parliament 2023.
