Optional morning workshop: Are you influential? Get your voice heard in UK Parliament

Posters in Parliament attendees are invited to attend an optional 60 minute workshop on getting their voices heard in UK Parliament.  This will be held at 12.15-1.15 pm in Portcullis House.

Places are very limited and so please advise if you are unable to attend once you have signed up so we can offer your place to someone else.

Session outline

This workshop is being delivered by the Outreach Engagement team from UK Parliament and will explore how researchers can engage with the work of Parliament.   It is designed those who may have had some basic engagement with Parliament before. Attendees develop a deep understanding of how to raise the issues which mean the most to them:

  • How can they take action?
  • What tools help influence debates, decisions, and legislation?
  • How can they build relationships with MPs and Lords?

I understand I need to be at the Portcullis House entrance to the House of Commons 30 minutes before the start of the tour to enable me to clear security. (required)
I agree that I will email Professor Jane Bryan (jane.bryan@warwick.ac.uk) if I no longer need my place. (required)
