Competition - Posters in Parliament Award for Best Communication of a Research Poster 2026

While attending Posters in Parliament is a great accolade for our students. We want to offer an additional element to recognise the additional achievement of communicating research. Therefore, we are offering institutions the opportunity to enter one of their two submissions to the competition.

The competition will focus on how the research has been communicated not the research itself. The entries will be judged on how the poster and 250-word research explanation are communicated, ensuring they are suitable for a lay reader, such as an MP and policymaker. All entries will be read by a shortlisting panel of BCUR members, and the shortlisted entries will be informed before the event.

During the event, the judges will visit each of the posters and discuss the research with each student researcher. The runner-up and winner of the competition will be announced at the end of the event. The judging panel will be small, or 3 or 4 people, including MPs and policy advisors.

Selected Poster 1 OR Poster 2 to be entered into the competition (required)

Don't forget - If you are attending, please remember to fill in Posters in Parliament 2026 Attendee Registration and remind your student researchers as well. This must be completed before 11th February 2026.
