This year the WorldCUR-BCUR programme schedule was hosted in Oxford Abstracts, in keeping with our goal to make this a sustainable event. It contained an overview of what was on offer on each day of the event, with details on speakers, presentation titles and abstracts.

Delegate Checklist

We prepared a checklist for our delegates with the aim of helping them feel better prepared and more confident, so they could make the most of their time and the experience at the conference.

Orientation Activities

Our Orientation Activities were organised trips which took place on Monday 3rd April for those arriving early for the full WorldCUR event. Delegates could choose from the following day trips:

  • Stratford-upon- Avon Walking Tour
  • Coventry
  • Warwick Castle

Religious Observance

We were thrilled to be welcoming delegates of so many nationalities to the joint WorldCUR-BCUR event. The multi-faith chaplaincy on campus was open to all attendees and also had congregational prayers and services specifically for those observing Ramadan, Easter or Passover during the week of the conference. Additionally, we catered to our delegates dietary needs' by providing Iftar and Seder meals upon request during the conference.

Complementary Sessions

Throughout our programme we were hosting sessions and workshops that were complementary to our main spoken, poster, exhibit and performance research presentation sessions. All details were available on the programme on Oxford Abstracts.

Finding Your Way

We shared detailed information on travelling to the Warwick campus by all modes of transport including rail, car, bus/coach, bike and foot, as well as resources for finding their way around our campus once delegates got here. Below are the three key venues of our conference.

Social Programme

We organised social activities and events to welcome our student delegates to campus, and offer them a chance to meet one another whilst enjoying their their surroundings during the conferences. We also provided some suggestions of amenities on campus that delegates could take advantage of, including food and drink, coupled with other suggestions of local towns and cities close to Warwick that they could visit in their free time.
