BLASTER (The Best in Liberal Arts and Sciences Teaching Expanded and Reinforced)

This special issue of Reinvention celebrates the research carried out by undergraduate students at universities involved in the BLASTER project. Each of the students is studying (or recently graduated from) a Liberal Arts and Sciences programme in the UK or Europe, and as such this special issue showcases the interdisciplinary work taking place in these institutions.

The articles have been selected and reviewed in a slightly different way to other Reinvention issues, but each has been carefully peer-reviewed by a Student Editorial Board and/or an external copy editor.

BLASTER is a collaborative research group of 6 institutions who have secured Erasmus+ funding to undertake a major project on Liberal Arts and Sciences education in Europe. Along with the University of Warwick, the partners are University College Roosevelt (Netherlands), Leuphana University Lüneburg (Germany), Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), ECOLAS, and Leiden University (Netherlands). This project aims to strengthen the quality and the relevance of European undergraduate education as a whole, and Liberal Arts and Sciences in particular, by expanding and reinforcing the nascent Liberal Arts and Sciences tradition.
