Summary

The International Conference for Public Health Students, scheduled for November 2nd, 2024, at the University of Warwick and online, aims to advance healthy lives and well-being for all through a dynamic programme. Featuring pedagogic benefits such as enhancing research skills and networking, it offers a hybrid format for global accessibility and flexibility. Key highlights include student co-creation to ensure inclusivity in planning and participation, on-demand conference presentation recordings and resources, and pre-conference workshops covering essential research skills and career development.

The overarching aim of the project is to establish an annual postgraduate public health student international conference that fosters a vibrant student research culture by providing a platform for knowledge exchange, research skills development, professional development, and networking.

Project activities:

· Convene an inclusive planning committee of postgraduate public health students and faculty across institutions to develop the conference.

· Deliver preconference workshops on Academic Writing, Publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals, Presentation Skills, Grant Writing, Public Health Career Development, Personal Development, and Interdisciplinary Research.

· Host a one-day hybrid international conference with in-person and online attendance options.

· Record all presentations and offer on-demand access to delegates for up to three months post-conference.

· Publish all conference abstracts and manuscripts in an exclusive special collection on Frontiers in Public Health.
