Summary

Cabit is an inclusive, student-led innovation that provides a phone-free cab booking solution through a dedicated POS-style kiosk for public venues like hotels, airports, and restaurants. Designed with accessibility in mind, it enables users—especially those without smartphones or with accessibility needs—to book safe rides with a simple tap. The project bridges a real-world service gap while enhancing customer experience and community connectivity. By combining interdisciplinary design, user-centered testing, and real-world implementation, Cabit showcases how technology can be both socially impactful and commercially scalable.

"Taking part in this opportunity has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my time at Warwick. It gave me the space to turn a simple idea into something with real-world impact, while learning alongside a supportive, inspiring community. I applied because I wanted to challenge myself, and I walked away with so much more than I expected. I'm truly grateful to be part of this journey.”

“I applied because I really believed in the power of a simple, student-led idea to make a real difference, and I wanted to see what was possible if I gave it my all. What I valued most was the space to explore, connect with others from different backgrounds, and grow through feedback and support. It felt incredibly meaningful to watch something I cared about take shape and start to have purpose beyond just an idea.”
