Professor Lorenzo Frigerio

Lorenzo has been the Vice-Provost and Chair of the Board for the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine for almost two years and was previously Head of the School of Life Sciences (SLS).

Lorenzo is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and won a Warwick Award for Teaching Excellence in 2016, when he was Director of Education in SLS.

In his role as Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Lorenzo will provide academic leadership across the University, with a responsibility for maintaining and enhancing world-class standards of teaching and learning across the University.

Professor Catherine Hale

Catherine Hale is a professor in both the Law and Medical schools. She specialises in medical law and ethics.

Cathy is a fellow of the Warwick International Higher Education Academy and a member of the Interdisciplinary Learning Circle. Along with Joanne Wale, she led the WIHEA-funded project: Interdisciplinary Transformative Review and Network 2024, which involved the creation of the Interdisciplinary Staff Hub and a longitudinal report on ITLR data from 2017 and 2023 to track the university’s progress on interdisciplinary teaching and learning.

Jo Wale

Jo is the Deputy Director of IATL and Head of Academic Projects and Administration and manages IATL's portfolio of interdisciplinary modules and has many years of experience in teaching quality, academic policy, and curriculum development.

Jo was a fellow of WIHEA and co-chair of the Interdisciplinary Learning Circle for many years. Along with Catherine Hale, she led the WIHEA-funded project: Interdisciplinary Transformative Review and Network 2024, which involved the creation of the Interdisciplinary Staff Hub. She is also the co-author of a chapter in a forthcoming volume entitled Interdisciplinary Learning and Teaching: Practice and Pedagogies.
