About WorldCUR

The World Congress on Undergraduate Research promotes undergraduate research in all disciplines. The Congress meets periodically once every three years at a different global university. Undergraduates of all levels are invited to submit an abstract to the Congress. Abstracts are peer-reviewed and those accepted will be invited to attend the Congress. Congress fees are usually paid by the student’s own university. The call for abstracts is published by each host institution.

WorldCUR was hosted by its inaugural institution Qatar University in 2016 and then by the University of Oldenburg in 2019. In 2023, the University of Warwick was proud to welcome WorldCUR to campus when WorldCUR was jointly held with BCUR cementing WorldCUR’s presence as a regular, prominent showcasing platform for UG research.

WorldCUR is one of the largest platforms in the world dedicated exclusively to undergraduate research. Previous Congresses have seen over 300 delegates from over 30 different countries over the three days presenting their research work on a diverse range of topics.
