IATL's Collaboration with the University of Copenhagen

In November 2022, Danish colleagues Line Nielsen, Charlotte Bjerre Meilstrup and Malene Kubstrup Nelausen (pictured with Dr Elena Riva and Dr Lorenzo Serini) visited IATL to observe and contribute to the in-classroom module 'Understanding Wellbeing Theory and Practice', which will also be replicated at the University of Copenhagen and to discuss the project evaluation and next steps.

WorldCUR-BCUR 2023 Abstract Writing Workshops

Sign up for Abstract Writing Workshops for WorldCUR-BCUR 2023 held on Microsoft Teams. Tuesday 1st of November 2022 @ 8am UTC Wednesday 2nd of November 2022 @ 4pm UTC We will guide you through the abstract writing process, including the 4 questions What? Why? So What? Now What? And how to construct these into a coherent abstract. We will explore how to frame your language for an international and interdisciplinary audience. We will discuss the importance of your title and different Forms of Presentation to engage with your audience.

Black Poetry Anthology Out Now

The Reclaim Project was recently funded by IATL and is a collective of poets and creatives of black heritage within the University. Earlier this month the project team released their first poetry anthology titled, 'On Blackness and Belonging', comprised of poetry from talented writers. The book chronicles the black experience first-hand, encompassing and creatively reconsidering the idea of black fracture and challenging monolithic discourses of blackness within academia. It is definitely a must read.
