Research Interests
The lab performs a combination of basic and applied research towards understanding plant development, and translating these findings into agricultural technologies.
Active areas of research include:
- Investigating how plants perceive and use signals from the environment to control their growth.
- Understanding the genetic basis of seed quality and vigour.
- Improving the nutritional properties of plant-based protein sources.
Key findings are being translated into crop species using CRISPR-based gene editing technologies.
