Peter Triantafillou

Peter Triantafillou is Professor of Data Systems, Head of Data Sciences in Computer Science at Warwick, Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute, and member of the Advisory Board of the Urban Big Data Centre. Peter has held professorial positions at the University of Glasgow, Simon Fraser University, Technical University of Crete and the University of Patras, and visiting professorships at the Max-Planck Institute for Informatics. Peter's research has received numerous awards, including the most influential paper award in ACM DEBS-2019, the best student paper award at IEEE BigData-2018, the best paper award at ACM SIGIR-2016 and the best paper award at ACM-CIKM-2006. Peter has served in the Technical Program Committees of more than 120 international conferences and as the PC (Vice) Chair in several conferences. Peter is a co-designer of several innovative systems: Currently, his group is developing the DBEst system for large-scale analytics, promoting model-based data-less (big) data analytics
