Warwick Q-Step Placement Poster Presentations

On 22 November 2016 students and staff from Warwick Q-Step Centre came together for the first Placement Poster Presentation event which was held in the newly-opened Oculus building on central campus. This annual event is a showcase of the experiences of final year Q-Step students who have completed the integral paid placement as part of their Warwick Q-Step degree programme.

The posters showcased a range of quantitative data research, data analysis, and report writing skills and we would like to congratulate all our final year students on their hard work; we are delighted at the exceptionally high standard of posters that they have produced.

Warwick to lead study into improving university outreach

A team of researchers from the University of Warwick, including Dr Emma Uprichard (Director of Warwick Q-Step Centre), is to lead a study into higher education outreach schemes.

Commissioned by the Office for Fair Access (OFFA), the project is funded by OFFA and the Sutton Trust and will investigate how universities and colleges currently evaluate outreach schemes. The study aims to improve understanding of the impact of outreach on access to higher education for students from disadvantaged groups and to improve evaluation practice across the sector.
