Sustinability at Warwick Presentation
On Tuesday the 24th of September, between 13:30-14:30pm, we will be hosting an in-person Sustainability at Warwick presentation. This will be open to all staff and students, and will take place in OC0.03 in the OculusLink opens in a new windowLink opens in a new window.
Support for developing Interdisciplinary Research Projects on Sustainability: Workshop 10th September 2024
WESIC and the Sustainability Spotlight have set up a learning circle which will meet termly to support our research community to develop interdisciplinary research projects. This is open to staff involved in research at all career stages.
The first informal workshop will take place in room JX2.03 in the Junction at 1 pm on 10th September
Ludovica Gazze from the Department of Economics will provide an informal presentation on the journey from inception to submission of the project ‘Protocol development and feasibility study for the Elevated Childhood Lead Interagency Prevalence Study’ which was funded in round 1 of the UKRI cross research council responsive mode pilot bringing together researchers from Social Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Health to develop a child lead (Pb) screening study protocol which is adaptable for national and international deployment.
Following the talk there will lunch, networking, discussion of potential project ideas and the opportunity to build project teams.

Your invitation to the WESIC annual meeting!
WESIC will have its annual meeting on the 24th June in Scarman Conference Centre, with support from the Sustainability Spotlight. This meeting provides an excellent opportunity for Environment researchers from across the university to come together. The day will include sessions where researchers can introduce their interests and work related to biodiversity, pollution, and climate change. Additionally, a new group will be launched to collaborate with the estates team in utilizing the University campuses as living laboratories for research. There will also be allocated time for networking and exploring potential research collaborations among attendees. Lunch will be provided to participants.
