Evie Ladbrook

Prior to joining the Analytical Science CDT, I completed an interdisciplinary master's degree in Natural Sciences specialising in Physics where I benefitted from studying between the boundaries of chemistry and physics. During this, I undertook a research project on investigating the structural and magnetic properties of magnetoelectric hexaferrites by powder X-ray diffraction and resonant X-ray diffraction.

For my PhD, I joined the Senn group, based in the Materials and Analytical Science building. My research focuses on using high pressure X-ray diffraction to investigate functional materials exhibiting properties such as improper ferroelectricity and colossal magnetoresistance.
