porphyrin study

In October 2007, I worked with Prof. D. R. McMillin from Purdue University on using LD to confirm hypotheses on the binding of a particular porphyrin to Poly(dA-dT)2. This work will not be discussed here as what was done was a small section from a larger project that I am not knowledgable about, that has at this point not yet been published

However, whilst working on porphyrins I created my favourite spectrum. Unfortunately it was unrelated to the work I was conducting at the time, but this spectrum can be seen below:

I love this particular spectra as it is a beautiful example of a linear dichroism spectra of DNA (which has a negative signal at around 260 nm) and a porphyrin molecule (which has a signal at around 430 nm)
