The Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma (UCBM) is excited to announce the 7th edition of its renowned Bootcamp, focusing on the application of Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to anticipate and manage Black Swan events. This intensive 3-week training program will take place from August 25 to September 12, 2025, in Cambridge, UK.
Black Swan events are rare, high-impact, and unpredictable occurrences that pose significant challenges for preparedness and response. The Bootcamp aims to equip participants with the skills to leverage IoT and AI for data-driven prediction, early detection, and adaptive response to these events.
Program Highlights:

Dates: August 25 - September 12, 2025

Location: Cambridge, UK

Format: Full-immersion experience with lectures, labs, and project work

Focus Areas: One Health, Medicine, Agritech, Climate Action

Participants: Undergraduate and graduate students, post-graduate students, researchers, early-stage practitioners in engineering or computer science, and young professionals

Entry Requirements:
Participants are recommended to have basic computing skills and familiarity with at least one programming language. Scholarships are available, with application deadlines on March 30, 2025, for the Afya Moja Project and May 30, 2025, for other scholarships.
These scholarships aim to support participants in acquiring IoT and AI skills to manage unpredictable, high-impact events.
