Across all years

Mr Peter Kimber wins the award for ‘Excellence in Lecturing’. Students nominated him for the following reasons:

“Mr Kimber clearly enjoys teaching; he consistently explains things clearly, controls the room and holds the interest of all. Mr Kimber regularly includes visual demonstrations as well as hand-outs, and demonstrates great enthusiasm in every lecture. He is incredibly hard working and manages to help and find time for every student. He confirms to me why I want to be an engineer.”

Years 1 and 2

Professor Peter Thomas wins the awards for ‘Most Enthusiastic’ and ‘Most Motivational’ lecturer.

Dr Duncan Lockerby wins the award for ‘Best Prepared’ lecturer.

Years 3 and 4

Dr S Zivanovic wins the award for ‘Best Prepared’ lecturer. Students nominated him for the following reasons:

“Dr Zivanovic has extremely organised lectures and is continuously in contact with the class about updates to lectures. She provides a number of hand-outs with excellent example problems and case studies. It is obvious that lectures are well planned out and she always encourages feedback.”

Mr Graeme Knowles wins the award for ‘Most Enthusiastic’ lecturer. Students nominated him for the following reasons:

“Mr Knowles is very engaging. He really captivated my attention and offered some very thought provoking opinions. He is passionate about his subject and engages with students, inviting us to share our views on a topic. He uses real world examples to good effect to highlight application of theory and is always enthusiastic in every lecture.”

Dr Tony Price wins the award for ‘Most Motivational’ lecturer. Students nominated him for the following reasons:

“Dr Price is the bastion of Civil Engineering at Warwick. It is very evident that he works extremely hard and to a high standard. He always answers my questions and is incredibly helpful; he has motivated me to become an engineer.”
