What is WMR?

Warwick Mobile Robotics is a collection of projects under development at the University of Warwick in the field of mobile robotics. Our projects currently range from Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) robots to autonomous, flying robots.

Our projects

We currently have several projects running at Warwick Mobile Robotics:

  • Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) for teleoperated and autonomous rescue operations in unstable or unsafe environments.
  • UAV sponsored by Sellafield Ltd for unmanned areal inspection of the insides of buildings.
  • Autonomous Quadcopter powered by a Raspberry Pi for outdoor agricultural use.
  • Autonomous Mower – ride-on greens mower that has been modified to be controlled by a computer and fitted with low-cost GPS.
