Research
The development of the Humanitarian Engineering Programmes has brought together an exciting group of academics, from a range of disciplines, eager to explore how an interdisciplinary focus can prepare students to play a pivotal role in the solution of global humanitarian challenges. The Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning (IATL) is at the centre of this and is the home department and community for incoming students.
The birth of the programme began back in 2015 when Dr Georgia Kremmyda and Dr Volkan Degirmenci, now our Programme Directors, bid for funding to start researching and developing the course. Find out more about their research projects and funding grants below.
