Microstereolithography for BioMEMS and Rapid Diagnosis
My thesis title allows for a very broad range of research, centering around potential biological applications of microstereolithography and microsensors technologies. My main project is the creation of an integrated system for the analysis of whole blood samples. To this end we have used microstereolithography in the development of novel microneedles for sample collection, and a new micropump design. We have also constructed a test rig, powered by National Instruments LabView programming software, to test the concept of our analysis method.
