YC Wong of Cohort 5 Wins Poster Prize at MMM Hub Conference 2025
YC’s poster, titled “First-Principles Defect and Migration Barrier Studies of Correlated Oxides with Machine Learning Perspectives”, was recognised for its innovative approach combining first-principles simulations with machine learning techniques to explore defect energetics and ion migration in complex oxides.
The MMM Hub Conference, held annually as part of the Thomas Young Centre community, brings together researchers in computational chemistry, physics, and materials science from across the UK to share advances in modelling and simulation.
RSC Digital Discovery has also featured the prize announcement on their LinkedIn pageLink opens in a new window.
Congratulations to YC for this excellent achievement and for showcasing the cutting-edge research being undertaken within HetSys and the School of Engineering.
