Upcoming Event: HetSys-KTN Industry Engagement Day - 12 September
The HetSys CDT has a range of existing project partnersLink opens in a new window who collaborate with its academics and co-fund PhD research projects, and is keen to grow this pool further. Innovate UK KTN and HetSys are organising an Industry Day which will take place in two stages. The first stage will be online event on 12th September, 1-4pm where an overview of the CDT and its research capabilities will take place. This will be followed by an in-person event on the Warwick Campus on 22nd September to link industry partners with potential academic collaborators and develop project ideas.
The online event aims to create further awareness of the state-of-the-art multiscale modelling research capabilities at Warwick and look at the various ways that Industry partners could engage with HetSys, ranging from Study Groups though to co-funded and co-supervised PhD projects.
The in-person event will provide an opportunity for discussion with potential academic partners, and opportunities to co-create and develop PhD projects either for October 2023 start, or October 2024.

Poster Prize at COSIRES 2022
Computer Simulation of Irradiation Effects in Solids (COSIRES) is an international conference held every two years, focused on recent advances in computational modelling of irradiation-induced phenomena in materials, for both fusion and fission applications. The 15th iteration of this conference convened last month in Porquerolles, France.
We are pleased to announce that Lakshmi Shenoy from Cohort 2 was awarded the prize for best poster at COSIRES 2022, for her work on Developing a machine learning interatomic potential for simulation of fracture in alpha-iron.
Congratulations, Lakshmi!
