EPSRC Symposium Workshop: Final CODY workshop

Renormalization in low dimensional dynamics and its applications

University of Warwick, December 13-17, 2010

Organizers: Henk Bruin (Surrey), Davoud Cheraghi (Warwick) and Sebastian van Strien (Warwick)

The meeting will be rather focused and will be based around the following minicourses:

  1. Renormalization of one dimensional real and complex maps:
This will be a mini-course by Welington de Melo and lectures by Edson de Faria, Konstantin
Khanin, Genadi Levin and Charles Tresser
  2. Renormalization in two dimensional dynamics
This will include several lectures by Hans Koch and Marco Martens
  3. Statistical properties of one dimensional maps
This will include several lectures by Juan Rivera Letelier
  4. Parameter exclusion methods
This will include a mini-course by Trevor Clark on the prevalence of regular and stochastic
    in the unimodal family
  5. Rigidity in real and complex dynamics
This will include several lectures by Davoud Cheraghi, Oleg Kozlovski, Pascale Roesch and
    Sebastian van Strien

The lectures are aimed at a wide audience with interest in dynamical systems.
Everybody is welcome to present a poster at the poster session
(Please note that if you need funding from the EU network CODY and you are not a main speaker,
you are required to present a poster).
