Pulse Oximetry in Care Homes During the COVID-19 Pandemic
A recent evaluation looked at the use of pulse oximetry (which uses a portable device to measure blood oxygen saturation level) in care homes during COVID-19. The evaluation concluded that use of pulse oximeters in care homes is considered beneficial to residents; are generally easy for staff to use; and on-going training would be beneficial.
