Our Social Care theme, in partnership with BASW (the professional association for social work and social workers), have published a report on leadership and social work in the UK. The report is based on a roundtable discussion that brought together national leaders on social work practice, policy and academia in March 2022. It is structured around three questions:

• What stands out regarding the different approaches to social work leadership within the home nations of the UK?
• What are the main opportunities to further strengthen leadership within social work?
• What contribution should social work make to leadership within an integrated health and social care system?
