Antenatal Prophylactic Pelvic floor Exercises and Localisation (APPEAL) (NIHR Programme Grant)

This study is being led by Prof Christine MacArthur, University of Birmingham in collaboration with PenCLAHRC, Birmingham Women's Hospital FT and; Warwick Business School.

Effectiveness of regular weighing and feedback by community midwives in preventing excessive gestational weight gain: randomised controlled trial (POPS 2)

This study was led by Dr Amanda Daley, University of Birmingham in collboration with NIHR CLAHRC Oxford.

Establish feasibility of long-term follow-up of women and children in a trial of pregnancy outreach worker support conducted in the CLAHRC pilot with a view to making an application for external funding.

The orginal trial has now been published in BMJ Open.

The team are currently exploring whether longer term follow-up is feasible.

The orginal trial was led by Dr Sara Kenyon, University of Birmingham under the NIHR CLAHRC for Birmingham and Black Country pilot.
