What is the role of faecal calprotectin testing for the differentiation between IBS and IBD in primary care?

Faecal calprotectin is a marker of inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. GPs can request a test for it but it is not clear how useful the test is, or how reliably GPs act on the results. This study is looking at test use and accuracy.
