Work Package 5

Understanding mapping and survey results and identifying viable options for health service delivery in slums

This work package will be in two phases:

Phase 1: the objective in the first phase will be to understand national and local policy-drivers, questions and concerns of local people (users and providers) relevant to the provision of healthcare and explore the meaning of the mapping and survey results.

Phase 2: this phase will determine viable models of healthcare. Throughout the programme of research we will collate relevant national and international policy documents and horizon scan for policy, funding, infrastructure, political and other changes that might influence access to healthcare in slums and the potential for implementing health services with improved access (evidence collation is part of WP3)
