Educational background and interests:

Chinwe obtained her bachelors and Masters degrees in sociology, both from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Chinwe is especially interested in:

• Digital communication systems,
• Information literacy, and
• Environmental and health behaviour.

As part of her training experience, She attended international research courses including Brown International Advanced Research Institute, Brown University, USA and Bartos International fellowship, United World College, USA.

Phd project focus:

Chinwe's PhD project intends to focus on how the ownership and use of mobile phones are shaping lay consultations and health service utilization in slums in Nigeria.
