Dr Amir Hasanzadeh

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow under Dr Anne-Marie BroomhallLink opens in a new window at Centre for Fusion, Space and Astrophysics, Department of Physics, University of Warwick, UK. My duties include data analysis techniques in helioseismology and understanding the solar activity cycle and asteroseismology. In particular, researches about Helioseismic Quasi-Biennial Oscillation and Magnetic Field variation in Latitude Bands.

I completed my PhD in astrophysics at the University of Zanjan (Iran) in September 2021. My research focused on the asteroseismic analysis of space-missions (Kepler, TESS,…) photometric data. My PhD thesis was asteroseismology of hybrid δ Scuti – γ Doradus pulsating stars. These stars are intermediate-mass stars and of great interest because they show both p-mode and g-mode in power spectra and offer additional constraints on the stellar structure.

I also participate in multiple working groups of the TESS Asteroseismic Science Consortium (TASCLink opens in a new window). I have some collaborations with head members of groups.

In recent years, I have become a supervisor and advisor to BSc and MSc students on variable stars, asteroseismology, stellar physics and exoplanets. I had some experience teaching data analysis in various workshops.

I am interested in the analysis of data to be acquired by space missions like Kepler, TESSLink opens in a new window and ground-based follow up observations. In the future, I will participate in the PLATOLink opens in a new window data analysis.
