Brad Ramsey has successfully passed his MSc thesis
Brad Ramsey has successfully passed his MSc thesis under the supervision of Dr Erwin Verwichte. His examiners were Dr Gert Botha (Northumbria) and Dr Anne-Marie Broomhall. His thesis is on the automated analysis of the evolution and oscillations of coronal bright points. Brad is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Aberystwyth.
Congratulations to Dr Petra Kohutova for successfully defending her PhD thesis
Petra Kohutova successfully defended her PhD thesis on Magnetohydrodynamic Oscillations in Solar Coronal Rain on Monday 14 May 2018. The thesis examiners were Profs Duncan Mackay (St Andrews) and Tony Arber. In her thesis, Petra investigated oscillatory phenomena in cooling loops in the solar corona in observations from space-born instruments and ground-based observatory and modeled them using MHD simulations with the Lare code. Petra's supervisor was Dr Erwin Verwichte. From her PhD work, she produced four refereed articles as a first author and she contributed to two more as a co-author.
Congratulations to Dr Baggott
