Information for Pupils

About the Project

The aim of this study is to understand how young people like you interact with others, how you view yourselves and others, and understand more about your health and emotions. For this project we are visiting local schools and asking young people to complete some questionnaires about themselves and other people in their school. We hope this project will lead to better ways of helping young people who are having difficulties with their relationships, health and emotions.

Researchers

Kirsty Lee

kirsty

My name is Kirsty Lee and I am a student at the University of Warwick. I am interested in finding out more about how children and young people’s peer relationships (how they get on with others) affect their health and how they feel about themselves.

I enjoy working with children and young people and I’ve had lots of jobs where I have either been working with them to help with a particular problem or I have been collecting information from them for research projects.

Alexa Guy

My name is Alexa Guy and I am a student at the University of Warwick. I am interested in the effects of different peer relationships (how they get on with others) on our social behaviour. I am looking to see if they affect the way we think about events or the behaviours of others as well as how we understand our own emotions and the emotions of others.

I have worked with young people many times for different research projects, where I have collected information to understand more about our development.
