CADE Venue

All forum activities will take place in the Palazzo Pesaro Papafava, Calle de la Rachetta, Cannaregio 3764, 30121 Venezia. We have created a CADE 2017 Google Map showing the locations of the venues used for CADE2017; please save this link for your records: http://bit.ly/cade2017map

How To Get There

Palazzo Pesaro Papafava is indicated as a Yellow Star on the CADE 2017 Google Map. Upon arrival, look for the door on the left which is the entrance to the building; there is a bridge just a few meters away from the door (the bridge is on the map).

If the door is open, you will see Warwick University banner just inside. If the door isn’t open, it will be unlocked so just walk in. You will enter a small room, where you take the stairs on the left to the first floor and go through a set of doors to reach the actual venue.

Directions from Airport

You can either travel by bus/ferry and Vaporetto, Alilaguna line boat, or water taxi. Nearest water transport stops are shown on the CADE 2017 Google Map using blue markers.

Option 1 (bus/ferry+ vaporetto): From Marco Polo Airport, take ACTV bus n° 5 or ATVO bus, DIRECTION Piazzale Roma (Bay D2). The price of the ticket is approximately €6.00 and the journey time 20 minutes. Tickets should be purchased at the ATVO counter in the airport arrivals hall or from the machine outside the main entrance and should be validated by punching in the machines provided. From Piazzale Roma (Venice bus terminal) take Vaporetto boat Line no. 1 (Lido direction) to Cà d'Oro stop At the Cà d'Oro, exit to the Strada Nuava and use our Google Map to walk to the Palazzo. More info on buying Vaporetto tickets.

 

Option 2 (Alilaguna boat): Alternatively, take the Alilaguna Blue line from the airport to Fondementa te Nova. Buy your ticket (approximately €14) from the booth at the airport. From Fondementa te Nova, it’s a walk over a number of bridges to the Palazzo. More info on Alilaguna Blue boats.

Option 3 (Water taxi): Taxi is the most convenient way to get to venue but it comes at a cost.

Meals

Please note that venues for all meals are indicated on the programme. All lunches will take place in We_Crociferi (Grey marker on Map). Dinner, Thursday (June 1) will take place at Mura Frari restaurant (Brown marker on Map). Dinner, Friday (June 2) will take place at L’Ombra del Leone restaurant (Green marker on Map).
