EQ925 Research Methods in Psychology and Education

Core module for MA Psychology and Education

A bespoke module to provide training on research methods frequently used in applied research across the disciplines of psychology and education. Students will be exposed to a wide range of research methods from case studies to randomised controlled trials, and from qualitative analyses to meta-analyses. The aim is to increase competence across a range of methods used in applied research today with a special emphasis on evidence-based practice. One of the aims of this module is to discuss how different research designs can contribute to the continuum of evidence required to evaluate interventions, policies, initiatives. Please note that a number of sessions are shared with students registered at Foundation Research Methods in Education and Advanced Research Methods.
