Module Leader: Depends on project

Term 2

This module is about meeting the needs of established teachers. Many established teachers have been reflective practitioners, learning from experience/engagement in professional development activities, and possibly involved in research projects. This module will enable the teacher to demonstrate Masters level attainment within an existing Masters programme, drawing upon their professional experience/experiential learning.

Under the guidance of the appropriate course leader, you will identify a focus for critical study based upon your experience as a teacher on a recent professional development project. An appropriate academic with relevant experience will be assigned as a tutor. Your tutor will advise about the appropriateness of the chosen focus, suggest any modification that may be needed, provide a starter reading list of 5-10 items relevant to the chosen focus, comment upon one draft of a 5000 word assignment and mark the assignment.
