An evaluation of the Malaysian British (Coventry 2020) Schools Link Programme

A three year collaborative programme was set up in June 2000 between Coventry 2020 schools and Malaysian Smart schools. The programme was extended following a visit by Lady Butterworth in summer 2003. The programme was supported by the Malaysian Ministry of Education, British Council, Marconi and Coventry 2020. The broad aim of the programme was to share good practice in the use of ICT in school with special emphasis on the continuing professional development of teachers. An additional benefit of the programme was to provide opportunities for teachers to enhance their knowledge and understanding of another culture. CeNTRE, at the Institute of Education, University of Warwick, was asked to take on the monitoring and evaluation of the project and submitted several reports detailing examples of work teacher colleagues had carried out.
