This European project aimed to explore the feasibility of building a virtual museum that would support learning across school and museum sites. The project chose to use the Ancient and Modern Olympics as the theme for the virtual museum.

 

The CeNTRE’s principal role was to develop, design and trial microworlds which would be a central feature within the website, providing both stimulus to the idea of exploring the Olympics and purpose for searching for or browsing information on the museum site. These microworlds, based on the sports of Shotputting and Discus throwing are to be published by Logotron.
