Learning Styles in e-Learning
My research project is about a computer based learning package which created and used to explore the adaptability of learning material to learning styles. The project considers the nature of e-learning, the specific features of computer-based learning and the strengths and limitations of tutorial styles packages. It goes on to consider the design cycles and recent criticisms of how the design process has been portrayed. The project considers the nature of learning theories such as constructivism, social construction, behaviourism and goes on to explain the portrayal of learning styles and multiple intelligences. In this study a package is designed to instruct learners in learning more advanced features of PowerPoint. Different routes are presented in the material to appeal to different learning styles. The aim of the research is to describe, assess and offer a framework for considering the user response to the material and how well the material adapts to learning styles. The project takes an interpretative approach to research and data is collected through observation of learners at machines, on line testing and interviewing. Data will be coded and analysed with triangulation of findings and conclusions drawn. The project will inform practitioners in the design of learning material and contribute to the literature and the subject by offering a framework (model) for adaptive design described in the context of existing literature.

About researcher
My name is Razali Bin Hassan, from Malaysia. Recently a full time PhD student at Institute Of Education University of Warwick, CV4 7AL Coventry. I have two main areas of research interest : First ICT in Technical and Vocational Training, Secondly Instructional Design in Educational technology . My main PhD research area is related to Learning Styles. How learners response when they use their learning route. Especially when using CBL materials.
