Leeds MA in Educational Innovation (New Technologies)

This course is organised learning with the aim of working together to develop innovations in teaching using new technology. This is a three year 180 CATS awarding programme made up of the following components:

Year 1

Action Research projects (60 CATs, LPE 1 plus 2):This takes you through the planning, implementing and evaluating of a project using new technology to address a problem or opportunity in your teaching.

Year 2

Learning with and research new technology in the classroom (2*30 CATS). This takes you through different ways in which teaching and learning has been theorised and how the contribution of ICT has been explained. It also introduces the idea of ICT CPD and the challenge of introducing change by working with others.

Year 3

Carrying out an extended project (60 CATS one 20,000 word project report). This is an extended enquiry into innovative teaching and learning with new technology. It will cover both the topic itself and the challenges of introducing wider change within the department.

While this is covered over three years if you have a existing CATS you might want to carry out your project in your second year.
