Global perspectives on teachers’ wellbeing and mental health following the COVID-19 pandemic

Professor Olympia Palikara (PI) has been leading with Professor Bonnie Nastazi (Co-I, University of Tulane; USA) and Professor Kris Varjas (Co-I, Georgia State University, USA) the ‘Global perspectives on teachers’ wellbeing and mental health following the COVID-19 pandemic’ research project. This international project aims to:

  • Develop a concurrent understanding of teachers’ wellbeing and mental health from a social-cultural perspective after the COVID-19 crisis, by establishing a lasting international, collaborative network of educational/ school psychologists, researchers, teachers and PGR students.
  • Provide a large, harmonised international dataset on teachers’ wellbeing and mental health following COVID-19.
  • Produce an online toolkit of evidence-based resources to support teachers’ wellbeing.
  • Create a transnational data gathering protocol in case of similar emergencies in the future.
