DEAR Collective member Sara Hattersley receives the prestigious CATE 2024 award
Well done to DEAR Collective member Sara HattersleyLink opens in a new window, along with Warwick’s PGR teachers, who has been the recipient of the prestigious CATE 2024 award for her work with the Warwick Postgraduate Teaching CommunityLink opens in a new window (WPTC). CATE – the Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence was set up by Advance-HELink opens in a new window and recognises and rewards collaborative work that has had a demonstrable impact on teaching and learning. Introduced in 2016, the scheme highlights the key role of teamwork in higher education.
Sara, who is an Associate Professor in the Academic Development CentreLink opens in a new window at Warwick, helped set up the Warwick Postgraduate Teaching Community in 2021, with a small group of PhD student teachers. WPTC is a cross-institutional community of practice: a professional learning space and site of advocacy for postgraduate researchers who teach. The team seeks to connect these early career teachers, both supporting and celebrating their unique contribution to Higher Education learning and teaching.
