Biography

Alis joined the Centre for Education Studies in September 2022, having worked at a range of Universities across the Midlands. Prior to working in Higher Education, Alis worked as a researcher with both UCL's Institute of Education and the University of Bristol. At Warwick, Alis teaches across both undergraduate and postgraduate provision within the department. She has designed two new modules, being taught from February 2023, which look to expand student understandings of what 'teaching and learning' entails and the forces which shape our preconceptions and beliefs about this idea. She wants to challenge the belief that teaching only happens in schools and that teachers are only purveyors of knowledge.
