Muslim Women and Politics in Britain and France
This ESRC-funded study aims to introduce and develop knowledge about women from Muslim communities through an examination of their political participation and activities and by making a systematic comparison between the situation and experiences of Muslim women in two major EU member states which share certain similarities but which also display fundamental differences in their respective political histories, cultures and institutions. In doing so, it aims to build on existing studies of women from Muslim background in the West.
